Gourmet Burgers at Gott's Roadside in St. Helena

Burgers are everywhere in America! California is no different. Where I live at in Stockton, there's In-N-Out, Jack in the Box, Super Burger, Burger King, Squeeze Burger, Melo's Burger, Flip's Burger, McDonald's, Kosmos Burger, Jollibee, Moo Moo's Burger Barn and a lot more.

Gott's Roadside Gourmet Burgers

When I went with family to Napa Valley, we tried out a unique burger joint in St. Helena. We noticed people queuing up for the burgers at Gott's Roadside on our way to Calistoga and thought about how good that might be when people don't mind the long lines to get their burger fix. Or it could be one of the cheaper meal options where everything else seems so expensive. Unknown to me, this was already my sister's favorite from her many visits to Napa Valley.

The open air atmosphere itself is a welcome thing. Open air dining in a rural setting as opposed to air conditioned burger joints in congested urban areas. They have a decent size parking lot that I'm sure would be hard to get a spot during certain times of the day.

The Menu

Of course, burgers dominate the menu at Gott's Roadside Gourmet Burgers. Other sections in their menu offer salads, fries, onion rings, chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, hotdogs, soups and chili, and seafood. For our meal, we ordered kimchi burger, sweet potato fries, bacon cheeseburger, and cheeseburger.

Kimchi Burger

Burger with a Korean flavor. 1/3 pound patty with fried egg, kimchi, American cheese, bacon, and spicy gochujang mayo in a lightly toasted egg bun. This one is spicy.

Bacon Cheeseburger

The bacon cheeseburger is as American as it could get: 1/3 pound beef patty, lettuce, bacon, American cheese, tomatoes, pickles, and Gott's secret sauce in a lightly toasted egg bun.

Cheeseburger

Just a basic cheeseburger with 1/3 pound beef patty, lettuce, American cheese, tomatoes pickles, and Gott's secret sauce.

Other burgers in the menu are the California burger, western bacon blue ring burger, blue cheeseburger, double cheeseburger, Texas avocado burger, Wisconsin sourdough burger, green chile burger, and a regular hamburger.

Sweet Potato Fries

Fries at Gott's come in 4 varieties: the regular fries, garlic fries, chili cheese fries, and sweet potato fries. We ordered the sweet potato fries. While the menu says it was chili spice-dusted, I found no hint of spice. Instead this was a sweet one probably made using yam (well, they say it's sweet potato).
